What to Expect: The Miami Food Truck Culture

Attending a food truck festival in Pinecrest or Greater Miami is a unique experience. Unlike other parts of the US, our seasons are defined by rain rather than snow. During the summer months, events usually start later in the evening to avoid the midday heat. In the winter, during the prestigious Art Basel season (December) and the Coconut Grove Arts Festival (February), the food truck scene reaches its peak with international flavors and tourists from around the globe.

• Bilingualism: Most vendors are bilingual. Don't be surprised to see menus listed in both English and Spanish!
• Payment: While most trucks take credit cards, having a digital wallet (Apple Pay/Google Pay) or some cash for smaller stands is recommended.
• Parking: In Pinecrest, parking is generally free at the parks, but lots fill up fast. Consider using the 'Freebee' electric shuttle service if you live locally.
